Wish List, tech version

Forget digital picture frames. I don’t really need a Touch or an iPad or an iPhone. I don’t even want a Kindle.

What I would like, though, is a digital calendar for the refrigerator.

It ought to measure at least 10 x 15, sync wirelessly with iCal, and be something I can read from across the room: no reflecty surface, nothing that washes out if you look at it from an odd angle.

Basically, I’m looking for an e-version of the paper calendar that’s hanging on the side of the refrigerator right now, the one I used to be able to get at any random Big Box Office Supply Store but now is available only through Amazon. I greatly fear its days are numbered in more ways than one.

Serious magnets are a must. So is a Sleep feature; there’s no sense having it glow all night so the mice can keep track of my dental appointments.

Rechargeable AA batteries would be a plus, but I’d be okay with a proprietary battery if it had a life expectancy of, oh, 36 months.

Are you listening, Steve Jobs? Or  maybe, Jeff Bezos? Could there be a KindleCal in my future?

  1. That would be pretty cool. But the calendar business would go out of business.

I love the idea of the mice keeping track of my dental appointments! I have sadly been unable to do this myself…

Karin: I’ll let you know when I find one!
Mary: My mice only seem to work in November and December, so schedule your appointments accordingly.
